As the old saying goes, babies don’t come with instructions. Good thing we have the experienced know-how you need, including a comprehensive baby care manual with step-by-step instructions for bathing, taking your baby’s temperature, immunizations, safety and everyday care. All this is very helpful, especially to new parents.

Before your child’s birth, plan to attend one of our education classes. All Maternity Classes, Tours and Support Groups are offered at NO CHARGE. You can register online or call 816-691-1688.

Breast-Feeding Education Class
Benefits of breast-feeding are well documented. This class will teach you how to breast-feed a newborn and use a breast pump.

Childbirth Education
Choose from a seven-week class, a one-day express class or refresher course. A tour of the Maternity Care Unit is included. Planned cesarean classes are also available.

Grandparent Education Class
First-time and experienced grandparents will learn how to support their son or daughter and spouse's new role as parents. You’ll also become familiar with current safety issues and receive a tour of the Maternity Care Unit.

Sibling Education Class
Help brothers and sisters age 3 to 9 prepare for the newest member of the family. A brief tour of the Maternity Care Unit is included.

Tours
Maternity Care Unit tours are offered by appointment on Saturday and on Tuesday evening. Note this time is reserved for families not attending childbirth education classes. Register online or call 816-691-1688.
