The physicians of Northland Pediatric Associates are seeking a board-certified, or board-eligible, pediatrician to join their group of four physicians and one nurse practitioner. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician to "walk in" to a full, successful practice. The patient mix is that of a traditional pediatric office and includes newborns up to age 18. The payer mix is varied and includes most area insurance companies. The physicians see patients in both the outpatient and inpatient settings. On-call is rotated every 5th weekend and each physician takes one day of call during the week.

The Northland is also one of the most rapidly growing areas of Kansas City. Over the last ten years, the area population has grown three times as fast as the population of Missouri. That growth continues and is the reason that Northland Pediatric Associates is seeking an additional physician.

North Kansas City Hospital is a 451 private-bed, full service, level II trauma center that offers our medical staff of nearly 600 physicians and their patients the most advanced medical equipment available. The Maternity Care Unit is designed for families. For Cesarean births, the surgical suites are located within the unit. Through a partnership with nearby Children's Mercy Hospital, the North Kansas City Hospital Neonatal ICU provides 24/7 neonatal nurse practitioner coverage, which complements the care provided by the Hospital's certified neonatal intensive care registered nurses. This new partnership is part of North Kansas City Hospital’s new Center of Excellence for Women’s Services that will be fully implemented over the next 24 to 36 months. The North Kansas City Hospital nursery will remain at a Level II designation but will expand from 10 beds to 18 beds. Enhancing the capabilities of the nursery is part of a more than $10 million project to remodel and renovate two floors that provide maternity services.
