Spine & Scoliosis Surgery, Inc., a premiere provider of orthopaedic services in the Kansas City Northland area, seeks a fellowship-trained, board-certified or board eligible, orthopaedic surgeon specializing in spinal disorders and deformities.

As the first fellowship trained spine surgeon to practice in the area, Roger Jackson, M.D., F.A.A.O.S., F.A.C.S., established the practice in 1979. Nearly ten years later, he limited his practice to surgical management of spinal disorders due to the growing demand for this type of service. His special interests lie in the treatment of scoliosis, kyphosis, flatback deformities, spondylolisthesis, disorders of the lumbar spine and spinopelvic malalignment and balance problems. Dr. Jackson is recognized nationally and internationally for his research, presentations, and publications in peer-reviewed journals, textbooks, periodicals, and manuals. In private practice, his objective is to provide patients with the very best orthopaedic care and service available. The office suite is shared with another spine surgeon, David Ebelke, M.D., F.A.A.O.S., F.A.C.S., and a nurse practitioner specializing in the care of patients with spine disorders.

This unique opportunity will accommodate a physician’s individual practice style and provides a flexible work schedule and solid staff support. The position offers an excellent compensation and benefits package.

The practice is conveniently located on the campus of North Kansas City Hospital, where a physician can choose to perform myelograms, epidurals, and other procedures using the most advanced medical equipment available. North Kansas City Hospital is a full service, 451-bed, level II trauma center with a medical staff consisting of nearly 600 physicians, providing full and complete specialty coverage to provide a full continuum of high quality care.

The metropolitan Kansas City area offers one of the lowest costs of living in the United States. It is a city with many galleries, parks, sporting events, and theaters that truly offers the amenities of a larger city, but has retained its Midwestern family-oriented values. The practice's location allows you to be anywhere in the city in less than thirty minutes, including the Kansas City International Airport. The region's demographics include the second highest income level in both metropolitan Kansas City and in the state of Missouri and is listed among the 250 most affluent in America. The Northland region is one of the most rapidly growing areas of Kansas City. The area's population grew three times as fast as the population of Missouri as a whole during the 1990s and continues its rapid growth today.
