North Kansas City Hospital’s Chest Pain Center: Where Speed Counts

North Kansas City Hospital is one of only three hospitals in Missouri and Kansas to receive Cycle II Accreditation with PCI from the Society of Chest Pain Centers. The national accreditation was awarded because of our speed and efficiency in treating chest pain and heart attack symptoms. The Hospital earned that designation for many reasons including:


  • Our fast response in communicating with paramedics and other emergency personnel while in the field and in route to the Hospital;
  • Our quick assessment and diagnosis once you arrive including access to our 64-slice CT scanner for enhanced visual images of your heart;
  • Immediate access to our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory around the clock; and
  • The rapid response by our physicians and staff from the time you arrive in the Emergency Department until you reach advanced heart care in our Cardiac Cath Lab—a time that is better than the recommendation of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association.
