For every new employee of North Kansas City Hospital, education starts with a two-day orientation. After that, training is ongoing, from department training designed to help you do your job better to hospitalwide training sessions sponsored by Human Resources.
North Kansas City Hospital’s School of Clinical Laboratory Science
This 46-week clinical program allows students to complete their college senior year of instruction at the Hospital. The program acquaints students with instruments, procedures and clinical experiences found in a hospital laboratory as well as teaches them about disease processes and correlating them with lab results. Upon program completion, students are eligible to take any national registry exam to become registered Clinical Laboratory Scientists.
Students are chosen for the program based on overall GPA, work experience, interview, academic preparation, science GPA and recommendations. Our School is affiliated with 11 colleges and universities.
