NKCH Accepting Applications for Summer Junior Volunteers |
North Kansas City Hospital offers a year-round Junior Volunteer Program for youth ages 14-18. Students interested in volunteering for the summer only must submit their applications to the Hospital by Wednesday, May 21, complete an interview by Friday, May 23 and attend a mandatory orientation in late May in order to volunteer the required 25 hours from June through August.
Shifts are available Monday-Thursday, mornings and afternoons, and on weekends in a variety of departments. These departments include Admitting, Central Services, Children’s Learning Center, Emergency Department, Home Health, Nursing Unit Stations, Physical Therapy, Print Shop, Purchasing, Radiology, Skilled Nursing Unit and Volunteer Office. Shifts vary in length from 3 to 6 hours and are available six days a week between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
