Hospital Named a Best Hospital by U.S. News & World Report
North Kansas City Hospital is honored to be listed as one of the Best Hospitals in the metro area in U.S. News & World Report’s annual Best Hospitals rankings. Awards are based on competency in handling some of the most difficult medical cases and demonstrating an exceptionally high-performance in various medical specialties. North Kansas City Hospital ranked high in gastroenterology, orthopedics and pulmonology.
This year’s Best Hospitals list showcases only 14 percent of the nation’s approximately 5,000 hospitals. “We are honored to be counted among this elite group of hospitals nationwide who are demonstrating the ability to successfully care for some of the most serious medical conditions,” says Peggy Schmitt, incoming president and CEO at North Kansas City Hospital.
Rankings were published by U.S. News & World Report in collaboration with the research firm RTI International. Highlights of the 2012-13 rankings will appear in the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals 2013 Guidebook, available in August.
