Top Performer(2014) The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of healthcare organizations in the United States, recognized North Kansas City Hospital as a 2014 Top Performer on Key Quality Measures for attaining and sustaining excellence in accountability measure performance for heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, surgical care and perinatal care.

ACTION Registry - Platinum Performance Achievement Award

ACTION Registry Platinum(2016) The hospital received the American College of Cardiology Foundation's 2016 ACTION Registry – Get With the Guidelines (GWTG) Platinum Performance Achievement Award for following American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association treatment guidelines for eight consecutive quarters and by achieving a 90% performance standard for specific measures, including drug safety and overall quality of care.

Blue Distinction Award - Cardiac Care

Blue Distinction(2014) North Kansas City Hospital was named a 2014 Blue Distinction Center+ for Cardiac Care. Hospitals receive this recognition for demonstrating their commitment to quality care and cost-efficiency in delivering specialty care, resulting in better overall outcomes for cardiac patients. Each facility meets stringent clinical criteria developed in collaboration with expert physician and medical organization recommendations, including the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS).

Blue Distinction Award - Maternity Care

(2014) North Kansas City Hospital was named a 2014 Blue Distinction Center for Maternity Care. Hospitals receive this recognition for demonstrating expertise in providing quality specialty care safely, effectively and cost-efficiently. Each facility was evaluated on clinical data and claims criteria as it relates to vaginal and cesarean deliveries, with a particular focus on decreasing the number of early elective deliveries.

Mission: LifelineThe Mission: Lifeline award recognizes our commitment to and success in providing high quality heart attack care, especially as it relates to STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction) patients. STEMI is a type of heart attack with a substantial risk of death and disability. It requires a quick response. Our STEMI program ensures patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted standards and recommendations.

Most Wired Hospital

Most Wired 2016(2016) Hospital & Health Networks recognized North Kansas City Hospital as one of the nation's Most Wired hospitals in 2016. Hospitals & Health Networks sponsors the annual Most Wired Survey, which is an industry-standard benchmark study that measures the level of IT adoption for operational, financial and clinical performance in U.S. hospitals and health systems.

National Quality Award, Respiratory Care

(2014) North Kansas City Hospital earned the American Association of Respiratory Care's Quality Respiratory Care Recognition award. The award is part of a national program aimed at helping patients and families make informed decisions about the quality of respiratory care services available in hospitals. North Kansas City Hospital was one of only 700 hospitals out of 5,000 in the United States that received the award.

Named HomeCare Elite Agency

HCE 2016(2016) North Kansas City Hospital earned HomeCare Elite Agency status in 2016. The award recognizes the top 25% of agencies based on an analysis of quality outcomes, quality improvement and financial performance. The HomeCare Elite compiles data to determine the most successful Medicare-certified home health care providers in the U.S.
