Online Auxiliary Gift Shop

Holiday stockings for newborns. Reclining chairs in patient rooms. Caps for oncology patients. These special touches and countless more are the result of volunteer efforts by the Hospital’s Auxiliary.

Over 200 members strong, the Auxiliary operates the Hospital’s Gift Shop and conducts fundraisers like an annual jewelry, holiday and plant sale and fall bazaar. Proceeds, as much as $25,000 a year, help fund such things as canvas tote bags for children undergoing surgery, medical equipment, wheelchairs and other items that bring comfort to patients and visitors and contribute to making North Kansas City Hospital a great place to work.

Another program that gives long-term benefits is supporting the educational needs of Hospital employees and volunteers. Over the last 19 years, Auxiliary members have awarded 50 educational scholarships totaling more than $119,000 to further the education of Hospital employees and volunteers who meet eligibility requirements.
