Zona Rosa

Zona RosaNorth Kansas City Hospital has a partnership with Zona Rosa and will sponsor several events throughout the year. Look for announcements about fun, women's health events and public health fairs. Look for us at Jazz on the Square, the Art Festival and during the holiday celebrations.

Live Blue - Zona Rosa

Live Blue in Zona RosaBlue KC (Blue Cross Blue Shield) opened Live Blue in Zona Rosa in August 2013. Live Blue is a health education and wellness center where you can get active, seek face-to-face support and take control of your health and wellness. Experts guide you through the ever-changing world of healthcare and lead you toward a healthier future.

Live BlueYou can participate in:

  • fitness classes
  • healthy eating workshops
  • educational seminars

You can also get answers about health insurance; benefits/coverage, claims or healthcare reform during one-on-one appointments.

NKC Community Center

NKCCCNorth Kansas City Hospital is offering a health and wellness series at North Kansas City Community Center (The Center). The program will include quarterly health fairs with screenings, family fitness classes and a monthly lunch and learn.

Additional classes offered include:

  • Women's Fit Club
  • Kid's Fit Club
  • Physical Therapy Transition Program

    A physical therapy transition program is available for patients who are released from physical therapy provided by North Kansas City Hospital. They have the opportunity to continue therapy with a personal trainer. Call 816-691-5020 for more details.

Platte County Community Centers, North & South

Platte County YThe Hospital's partnership with the Platte County Community Center North and Platte County Community Center South promotes opportunities for health and wellness for the Platte County community.

The North location is located in Platte City and the South location is in Parkville. 

Programs offered include:

  • Women's Fit Club
  • Kid's Fit Club
  • Heart Health Fair
  • Diabetes and Blood Pressure Screenings

Park University

Park UniversityMeritas Health has an on-site medical clinic at Park University for faculty, staff and students. Janet James, NP-C CDE will be providing services, including:

  • Urgent Care
  • Annual Physical Exams
  • Preventive Care
  • Diabetes Counseling
