Our adult volunteer program is for men and women age 18 and older.

Adult Volunteer Opportunities

  • Answer phones and direct patient information calls
  • Assist families in waiting areas.
  • Assist with day-to-day hospital functions
  • Compile patient information packets
  • Copying, filing and typing
  • Deliver flowers and mail to patient rooms
  • Guide and/or transport visitors
  • Help with department-specific tasks

Our youth volunteer program is for people 14-18 years of age.

Placement is determined based on interest, age and availability.

The program is divided into two sessions. The school-year session runs from August-May, with afternoon and early evening shifts available. The summer session runs from June-August, and includes morning and afternoon shifts.

Finding quality volunteers for your organization is easier than ever. NKCH’s Community Volunteer Portal connects local groups with more than 3,000 employees who represent a range of talents, skills and knowledge.

Our Community Volunteer Request Form streamlines the process for pairing your organization with our volunteers. No job is too small, and we consider every request. Once your request is approved, NKCH employees can access the opportunity internally. You’ll receive emails with names and contact information from interested employees.
