Cornerstone Family Care is seeking a board-certified, or board-qualified, residency-trained family medicine physician interested in treating a wide variety of patients in the outpatient setting. Special interest in diabetic care, nutrition and fitness, and interest in partnership in the practice are desirable. A caring, patient-focused approach to medicine is required.

This solidly established practice enjoys a long-standing reputation in the Northland community. The practice features numerous diagnostic capabilities including ultrasound, Holter monitoring, event monitoring, and echocardiogram. The physicians see patients in the clinic and utilize a hospitalist service for admissions. The physicians do not provide obstetrical care. The practice is well managed and has a varied patient/payer mix. The clinic’s location on the campus of North Kansas City Hospital gives patients and physicians easy access to the hospital’s many amenities. On-call duty is 1:3.

The Kansas City Northland is a dynamic and desirable area. Hundreds of new homes are within a few miles of the clinic, making it an ideal location in which to work, live, and raise a family. The Northland area continues to grow, as does the accompanying demand for medical services.

It is a city with many galleries, parks, sporting events, and theaters that offers the amenities of a larger city, but retains its Midwestern family-oriented values. The region’s demographics include the second highest income level in both metropolitan Kansas City and in the state of Missouri and is listed among the 250 most affluent in America. New housing developments in this area are plentiful and feature upscale homes with extensive amenities.

North Kansas City Hospital is a full service, 451-bed, level II trauma center that offers physicians and patients the most advanced medical equipment available. All hospital rooms are private. The hospital maintains a medical staff consisting of nearly 600 physicians to provide ample specialty coverage to assist in providing high quality, continuous care.
