Meritas Health Oakview has been serving the community for more than 25 years creating long-term patient/provider relationships. In 2011, Northland Internal Medicine became part of Meritas Health. This relationship has allowed the practice to grow and improve its focus on providing patient-centered medical care.

Our goal is to provide high quality preventative care to our patients and to treat their acute and chronic illnesses to achieve and maintain optimum health throughout their adult life. To more efficiently serve our patients, an electronic medical record is utilized to track, follow and act upon your healthcare needs.

After Hours/Weekend Calls

Should you need urgent medical care after hours, please call our office telephone number at 816.453.9232 to reach the on-call doctor.  Medication refills will not be called into the pharmacy after hours or on weekends.


All patients are seen by scheduled appointment. Same day appointments are often available for urgent conditions. To schedule an appointment, call our office Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. at 816.453.9232. We would be happy to help you find an appointment time convenient for you. 

If you are new to our office, please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment. Arriving early will allow enough time to get pertinent information entered into your medical record. For subsequent appointments please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment so that we may verify and update your information. Be sure to bring your insurance card and applicable copays or co-insurance amounts. Please also bring any medications you are currently taking.

Prescription Refill Request

At your office visit, please be sure to inform us of any medicine refills you will need prior to your next visit.  Should you require a refill on your current medication between appointments, please contact your pharmacy or mail order service and request a refill.  Your pharmacist will contact our office for approval.  Refills will only be provided during normal business hours.  Narcotics will not be prescribed after hours.
