SurgiNet® is the next step in EMR
SurgiNet, Cerner’s EMR solution for all surgical workflow and anesthesia delivery, was implemented in all NKCH surgical areas September 15, 2014. SurgiNet offers surgical teams consistent, legible, more complete and accurate patient information.
SurgiNet robustly captures real-time information including dosing and patient vitals and it assists with supply lists, inventory, nursing assessments and documentation, all charges, implants, and offers multiple safety checks and alerts.
Joseph Taylor, MD
Anesthesiologist Joseph Taylor, MD, with Northland Anesthesiology Inc., worked with Cerner to customize the platform for NKCH and will lead physician training. "The implementation of SurgiNet not only brings us into EMR compliance, it is a tool that will help us streamline processes and create a comprehensive patient record. That record, will allow us to make the best healthcare decisions for our patients in the future," says Dr. Taylor.
