Earning Cycle IV

Chest Pain CenterNorth Kansas City Hospital received Cycle IV accreditation with PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention) from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC), the highest level of accreditation possible for chest pain treatment.

North Kansas City Hospital is the only hospital in the Northland to receive Cycle IV accreditation.

The Accredited Chest Pain Center’s protocol-driven and systematic approach to patient management allows physicians to reduce treatment time during the critical early stages of a heart attack. Accreditation demonstrates a continuum of improvement, with each cycle building on the previous one.

“Everyone works hard to earn our accreditations, says Chest Pain Center Medical Director, Zafir Hawa, MD, FACC, FSCAI. “Cycle IV status reflects North Kansas City Hospital’s standing as the leader in cardiovascular services in northwestern Missouri. It also represents our commitment to continually improving the quality of these services.”
