Dr. Stewart Earns ABQAURP Certification
Congratulations to James L. Stewart, MD, medical director of North Kansas City Hospital’s Case Management department, for earning board certification in Health Care Quality and Management through the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians.
To earn the certification, Dr. Stewart had to demonstrate:

- The proficiency and expertise needed to effectively manage today’s complex healthcare environment
- A willingness to benefit from his educational achievements and increase his knowledge of healthcare quality, administration and patient safety
Dr. Stewart also obtained sub-specialty certification in the category of Physician Advisor.
James L. Stewart, MD
Dr. Stewart earned his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Before becoming the medical director of NKCH’s Case Management department, he practiced internal medicine and specialized in geriatric psychiatry.
