Northland Cancer Center's specialized Breast Care program offers special services to women diagnosed with breast cancer. The program was developed to give patients access to a surgeon and radiation oncologist within 48 to 72 hours of diagnosis. Patients are also assigned a Nurse Navigator (nurse with advanced training) to help coordinate the patient's care, provide information, and give emotional support.
Northland Cancer Center has two of the approximately 300 nationally certified breast care nurse navigators in the entire country. They offer patients a unique way to navigate through the complexities of breast cancer care. They are oncology certified and dedicated to helping breast cancer patients through all phases of diagnosis and treatment.
