Cancer Clinical Trials
In partnership with The University of Kansas Cancer Center and Midwest Cancer Alliance, North Kansas City Hospital offers clinical trials for many types of cancers. Through these organizations, NKCH has access to clinical trials only available at NCI designated cancer centers. Research at
NKCH also has a strong focus on assisting in the development and improvement of cancer biomarkers which are being used to detect cancer, define targeted therapies for the treatment of cancer, and identify genetic links to cancer.
Benefits of Clinical Trials
Clinical trials benefit patients by providing new treatment modalities to help them fight their cancer and the knowledge that they are helping in the research to manage this disease. These trials support the community and advance medical science by providing much needed information about new treatments and tests.
Our clinical trials are routinely assessed for safety and efficacy. A research nurse is on campus Monday - Friday to work with trial patients and oncologists.
