In partnership with the Kansas City Clinical Oncology Program, Northland Cancer Center offers clinical trials for many types of cancers. Supported by the National Cancer Institute and in affiliation with many major research centers throughout the nation, this program includes both treatment and cancer control trials. Northland Cancer Center also assists in research focused on developing and improving tumor markers for detecting cancer and looking into genetic links to cancer.
Clinical trials benefit the patient by providing new treatment modalities to help them fight their cancer and the knowledge that they are helping in the research to manage this disease. These trials support the community and advance medical science by providing much needed information about new treatments and tests.
Our clinical trials are routinely assessed for safety and efficacy. A research nurse is on campus Monday - Friday to work with trial patients and oncologists.
