Care
Northland Cardiac Center at North Kansas City Hospital believes in
giving back to the community. That's why we make it as easy as possible
for members of the community to find information about health care. Our
database of information, combined with our active role in classroom
education and speaking at group events, forms a large network of
community resources. Read below for more information on the educational
services we provide the community.
Go Red for Women Luncheon
We participate at this special event by purchasing two tables of 10 for
lunch and provide cholesterol and blood sugar screenings. This event
also includes a keynote speaker from Northland Cardiology, Dr. Michael
Montgomery, MD.
Men's and Women's Health Fairs
This is an event that helps people determine their risks and learn the
importance of a heart healthy lifestyle. Attendees obtain screenings to
assess their risk for a heart attack, including a blood test (fasting
recommended) that measures total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides
and blood sugar levels. Participants also receive heart healthy
information and a variety of promotional items.
Speakers Bureau
Today's
health concerns call for public information from reliable resources.
That's the idea behind our Speakers Bureau. Each year, we provide
on-site information to schools, clubs, businesses and professional
groups.
We'd be happy to arrange a speaker to present to your

American Heart Association
North Kansas City Hospital is a proud sponsor to the American Heart Association.
Employees donate to American Heart Association by participating in the each of the following events:
- Demin Days - Employees may donate to the Red Dress Campaign and in return receive a day of casual dress at work.
- Red Purse Raffle - Departments create unique "purses" and employees buy tickets for chances to win them.
- Boss Car Wash - Employees
donate money to have their cars washed by members of our management.
The money raised is used for the annual Heart Walk team.
