Living With Diabetes
Your First Choice for Diabetes Care
If you’ve been diagnosed with diabetes, the news can feel life-altering. At North Kansas City Hospital, we treat your diagnosis with empathy, encouragement and personal attention. Our certified diabetes educators will show you how to turn the diagnosis into a chance to make a positive lifestyle change.
Your Diabetes Team
Once you’re diagnosed with diabetes, your team will include a physician, nurse, dietician, pharmacist, physical therapist and social worker who will work with you individually and in group sessions to reach your goals for healthy living.
If you’re a hospital patient, a nurse will meet with you to talk about medications, diet and exercise and answer any questions you have.
