Physical & Occupational Therapy

After injury, illness or disability, our goal is to help patients regain their mobility as efficiently as possible. That’s where Northland Orthopedic Center’s Physical and Occupational Therapy programs step in, providing highly trained specialists and personalized therapy. Our staff of 29 therapists, including a certified hand therapist and eight therapy assistants, have caseloads that allow them to provide one-on-one patient care.

With state-of-the-art technology featuring Dartfish Motion Analysis, therapists are able to analyze basic movement such as walking or running patterns and also analyze complex sports movements such as a golf swing. A technology that's proven beneficial for Olympic athletes, Dartfish allows therapists to record an individual in action and then break down the movements and replay for the person to see. Comparing movements, perhaps the technique of an amateur pitcher with that of a professional athlete, helps patients visualize and correct how they are moving. The idea is to increase strength and reduce the risk of re-injury.
