Internal Medicine

Internal medicine is the branch of medicine that deals with adult medical conditions and wellness. Internists are doctors who specialize in caring for adults of all ages, focusing on the whole person. They are particularly skilled at solving complex or difficult-to-diagnose problems and handling chronic illnesses. For this reason they are sometimes referred to as “the doctor’s doctor,” consulting with other physicians on puzzling cases.

Internists focus on overall wellness and disease prevention. They can provide a wide range of services, including:

  • Physicals
  • Geriatric care
