HeartCaring is a subsidiary of the Spirit of Women network.
North Kansas City Hospital certifies physicians, through the
HeartCaring program, who are dedicated to gender-sensitive treatment of
cardiovascular diseases and conditions. They've received female-specific
education and training on the current knowledge and recommendations for
preventing, diagnosing and treating heart disease in women. You might
be surprised to know that heart disease is the number one cause of death
among women. And since women's hearts are different from men's hearts,
the treatment for heart disease is different, too.
North Kansas City Hospital is proud to be a HeartCaring hospital, as well as an accredited Chest Pain Center.
