Gary Carter, MD

Gary Carter, MD, leads the medical staff team involved in credentialing and peer review functions. He also works with the medical staff on a variety of quality initiatives. Before accepting the chief medical officer position, Dr. Carter practiced emergency medicine for 25 years. He earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Medical School and completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Louisville. In 2008, he completed his MBA at the University of Tennessee. He also serves on the board of Northland Healthcare Access; a not-for-profit organization that helps provide healthcare services to the uninsured.
