Hit head on by a drunk driver who was going the wrong way, Katrina was trapped in her car for 45 minutes. With multiple injuries, including the loss of her unborn daughter, she spent 12 weeks in the hospital. Her physicians told her it would be 6 months to a year before she might walk again. But Katrina had other plans. During her stay in North Kansas City Hospital's Acute Rehab Unit, she worked with a team of physical and occupational therapists to achieve one goal: to walk out of the hospital for the daughter she lost.
