Dr. Tejwani Joins Radiation Oncology Team

Ajay Tejwani, MDAjay Tejwani, MD, MPH, radiation oncologist at The University of Kansas Cancer Center, has joined North Kansas City Hospital as part of its oncology partnership with The University of Kansas Cancer Center. He works full time at the NKCH campus with the hospital’s Radiation Oncology team.

Dr. Tejwani is passionate about providing access to state-of-the-art care and clinical trials in the community setting. His clinical interests include central nervous system, genitourinary, head and neck, and lung cancers.

An assistant professor of radiation oncology at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Dr. Tejwani earned his medical degree and master’s degree in public health concurrently from Tulane University. He completed a one-year internship at the Tufts University-affiliated Lemuel Shattuck Hospital. He then completed his radiation oncology residency at Weill Cornell’s New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. He was on staff at Lawrence Memorial Hospital and Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa, KS, for three years before joining The University of Kansas Cancer Center in 2017.
