North Kansas City Hospital’s Cancer Rehab and Wellness Center is the first of its kind in Kansas City. Our patient-centered program focuses on treating cancer-related side effects so you can regain function and enhance your quality of life.

Your team may include physical and occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, registered dietitians, clinical social workers and nurse navigators. Each person specializes in cancer survivorship care and strives to:

Dietary Consultation

  • Financial issues such as insurance, disability, Medicaid and transportation concerns
  • Medication, and nutritional and medical equipment resources
  • Coping strategies for emotional stressors
  • Referrals to psychologists, educational resources and support groups
  • Advanced directives and durable power of attorney
