What to Expect

Step 1

At your first session, our team performs a thorough health assessment that includes your medical history. They also discuss your quality of life and rehab goals. Common goals include returning to work, spending more time with family and friends, or walking up and down stairs more easily.

Step 2

Our nine-week undergraduate pulmonary rehab program includes strength and endurance training, energy conservation techniques, and education about lifestyle changes, nutrition and stress management.

To get the most out of pulmonary rehab, we recommend attending two-hour sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week. Session times: 8 a.m., 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

You’ll need your doctor’s referral for Undergraduate Pulmonary Rehab.

Step 3

Once you’ve completed the undergraduate rehab program, we encourage you to continue building on the progress you’ve made by attending our self-directed graduate rehab program. Sessions are held Monday-Friday at 6:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Insurance Coverage

Most insurance plans cover the Undergraduate Pulmonary Rehab program. How long you stay in the program is based on your progress toward your goals. Remember to verify your insurance covers the services. Insurance does not usually cover the Graduate Rehab program. We’ll be happy to discuss program costs and help answer insurance coverage questions.
