Dr Boyce was attentive and genuinely concerned. Quickly setup up the necessary procedures to repair my situation.
Very good doctor. Definitely recommend him as he will address all your needs. Good about referring me to a specialist if needed. Can get at appt inn a couple days and good at getting you in and out of his office in a timely manner.
We chose Dr. Boyce as our PCP after our office closed it’s Northland office. He is my brother’s physician so I had first hand knowledge of the way he cares for his patients. However, after being under his care for a number of years, I have come to the realization that I may be well served to change providers. I am going to establish a relationship with a physician who practices at a location closer to my home.
Dr. Boyce is excellent! Straight to the point and does what he is able to do to benefit the patient. One of the best PCP's I have had yet!
Very attentive and seemed to want to explore my issues and not just put a band aid on it.
He did NOTHING. REFUSED!!! Request different primary care physician.
Great experience
Thorough and went above and beyond what I expected out of the appointment by offering to refill my prescriptions, saving me a trip back to see my regular doctor.
I continue to have very positive interactions with Dr. Boyce. He listens well, diagnoses problems, and offers effective solutions. Highly recommend!
I was very ill and came to see Dr Boyce to get a diagnosis. I took a home Covid test before going and it came back negative. However, he wanted to do another, turns out I did have Covid, my home tests were well past expired
Great bedside manner. Never met a dr that will talk bout life and actually listen to me.
Everyone’s great From check-in From his nurse to the doctor
Always informative and willing to answer my concerns!
Listened to my concerns, gave advice and prescribed medication that I needed.
Dr. Boyce and his nurse were courteous, professional and gave me answers to my situation.
Courteous and knowledgeable staff. Dr. Boyce was efficient and seemed thorough. It was a good first visit to a new clinic and a new doctor.
I am very grateful for DO Boyce. I was having a paralyzing pain in my neck that traveled through my shoulder and right arm all the way to my fingers. The doctor listened to my concerns attentively and addressed my problem by prescribing me the right medications that managed my inflammation and severe pain.
They were prompt in seeing us. Covered all the drugs we use and answered all of our questions.
Really appreciate Dr. Boyce’s bedside manner. He was clear and precise with what needed to be done to get me back on my feet. Really was impressed by his attitude to be direct, listen carefully to all my concerns and symptoms.
Respectful, courteous and knowledgeable. Will pay attention and listen to you. Won't cut you off or try to rush you. Wouldn't go anywhere else
Great online check in process, very friendly staff and DR Boyce is super friendly and knowledgeable!
I saw Dr Boyce on Mon Dec. 23, I appreciate that he saw me I am not his patient. He treated me with munch needed antibiotics.
He examined my right shoulder and ordered X-rays. He identified my shoulder problem by making several movements of my arm and shoulder. He also determined I had bursitis, which I did not know. I am now waiting on the results of the x rays.
I normally see a different doctor but needed to get in to see someone quickly because I got the flu from my grandson and wanted to get Tamiflu to shorten my bout with the flu. Dr. Boyce was friendly, but I believe I received a false negative test for influenza. The nurse, who was also very friendly, didn't do a thorough swab of my nostril, just barley touched the wall toward the rim of my nostril for only a few seconds, and the test came back negative. I know I have the same illness that my grandson has, because I was in very close contact with him for several days while he was sick and diagnosed with influenza a. I have all the same symptoms as he does. Now, including fever. I feel like Dr. Boyce should have just given me a script for the antiviral, knowing how common false negatives can be, my exposure to a diagnosed individual, and the symptoms I am having. Now it is too late, and I will not get the benefit of having the antiviral in the first 48 hours. I feel as though I wasted the $25 copay just to be told to go home and wait it out. Money is tight, and I needed to make sure I get well as soon as possible as I am a needed caregiver for my grandson. I should have stood up for myself when I initially thought the swab wasn't good, and that is my fault, but I believe I should have been re-tested or just given the script in case it was a false negative. I feel like the data would have also been important since my grandson and I were both inoculated for the flu this year and still got it.
As always, Dr Boyce attended my medical needs in a thoroughly professional and comprehensive manner.
Dr. Boyce is awesome. If you are looking for a doctor that is not all fluff and roses, he’s the guy. Big on preventative medicine and is honest with you in regards to where you are and what can help make you the healthiest version of yourself that you can be. I’m a work in progress and his office makes sure I follow up on anything needed. Nothing but good things to say.
Really friendly and straightforward great Doctor
Dr Boyce is not our PCP, but we needed to be sooner than later. He treated my son for a broken heel. He wasn’t able to see any breaks on the X-ray, but listened to my son and sent him for a MRI. Come to find out it is broke. Thanks to the communication between Dr and patient we are on the road to recovery. Would definitely see Dr Boyce again.
Thorough exam and everybody in the office was helpful. Dr. Boyce is easy to talk to about concerns.
Dr Boyce very attentive and caring dr I appreciate him
Very personable and answered all my questions without making me feel rushed
great doctor ,really caring and smart..
Dr. Boyce is consistently professional, polite and personable.
Dr. Boyce allows time to fully engage with each patient and provides comprehensive treatment
I saw Dr. Boyce for an infected cat bite. I loved that he listened to me, asked questions, and just his overall personality.
I had a positive first experience here as a new patient. Scheduling was easy and I was able to complete all paperwork online before arriving. Doctor was easy to talk to and to the point which is fine with me.
It was an excellent experience, from checking in to getting right back in the room! I was in an out in an hour and that is with first time appointment, and getting X-rays done after leaving his office. I was really impressed with how efficient and caring everyone was! I’m actually happy to have a new primary doctor!
I have found Dr Boyce to be engaging, professional and knowledgeable. He is a wonderful Dr.
Dr Boyce sincerely cared about my concerns. He went above and beyond even when I thought I didn't need labs. Very caring.
First, I didn't have to wait at all. Taken straight back to the room. Doctor Boyce came in as soon as the aide was thru with me. He went over his standard questions and then we talked about his son going to Oklahoma University. I'm a big Sooner fan. He's always very professional and gets to the point.
It was quick felt like he was rushing and didnt care honestly i wouldn’t dare go back
My vist was very good!! It was through, pleasant & very successful. I didn't have to wait but just a few minutes. It was like a well oiled machine. Thank you Dr. Boyce and staff!!!
He prescribed an antibiotic for my infection and I will go to Physical Therapy when completed.
I just started a new job with a strict attendance policy and Dr. Boyce was right on time. I clocked in 1 minute before my start time!!!!
Dr. Boyce took his time and explained everything. He was personable, interested in me as a person, and as a patient.
Dr. Boyce is amazing very professional yet “actually talks with you” I love the atmosphere and Gashland Clinic it is very friendly not like you were a number. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Fast and friendly appointment!
Dr. Boyce listened to my complaints and concerns about my health. I fell he did a good job helping me and getting me more advance care.
Dr. Bryce was very helpful and worked towards getting my problems taken care of right away!
He is prompt. He listens.
Dr Boyce greeted me and proceeded at once to the task at hand since first appt. He gives me his undivided attention by listening to all of my concerns. He's excellent about entering everything into my medical file and obviously makes our visits count where it needs be. A no nonsense very bright professional great at what he does! Dr Boyce cares about my health and I intend on keeping him for all my health care needs! Let me not forget to say that the office staff are all very kind and charming from the moment I walked in and my visit went smooth and quickly. Loved it!
Dr. Boyce , gets it. From his excellent treatment style, curiosity, investigative mind and ability to connect. You know where you stand immediately , and what are the next steps and why? He has an attention to detail, medical knowledge that builds a rapport with his patients.
Very friendly and took time to answer any questions
He doesn't seem to care about his patients wellbeing nearly as much as his break time. Every time I have gone to see him, I have had less than 5 minutes face time with him. He performed diagnostic "tests" on my shoulder that was hurting, but ran through them so fast he didn't notice that they actually hurt and dismissed it as tendonitis. He gave me some medicine that didn't work and now I'm looking for a new doctor. 0/10.
Dr. Boyce was efficient and listen to my concerns.
This was my first appointment with a new doctor. I don’t enjoy doctors visits in general, however I felt rushed through my appointment. It was difficult to discuss information with him as it seemed like he wanted to be somewhere other than in that room. The nursing staff and reception were great, however this did cause me to want a different option for who I see next. I was also prescribed medication and given hardly any information as to what I should expect. Including not being able to pick it up because it wasn’t called in.
I found him to be a excellent Dr.he listen to me when I go see him what more can I ask for.
Very patient and I inormative. Easy to talk to.
First and last time seeing him. He couldn't even look away from his computer to look at what I was attempting to show him. I felt like he was annoyed that I was there and just dismissed everything I was telling him. Appointment lasted all of about 5 minutes and was a complete waste of my time and money.
I love going to see Dr. Boyce! He is very smart and good at what he does! He does get right to the point and does not talk a ton which can be a really good thing for doctors since you(the patient) are typically there for a reason. Lauren Bendure
Dr Boyce is nice but detailed.
Straight to the point. Willing to see me on short notice. Addressed my concerns . Good Doc. No complaints.
Good.
He is pretty good doctor. He likes to see my son and me. He is not a problem veey simple style with tests required and not required. Meritas Health Gashland has urgent care as well. Thanks.
Caring and straight to the point which I appreciate. Happy to have a good primary doctor again.
Dr. Boyce has been my physician for several years now. He's always efficient and straight to the point which I appreciate. He communicates well and answers any questions I have for him! Highly recommend.
Great service. Very nice folks too!
Dr. Boyce was friendly and professional. He listened to my concerns and took the time to review my diagnosis (herniated disc). I left his office feeling encouraged. I would definitely recommend Dr. Boyce.
The doctor took his time . Answered all my questions... Never felt rushed. Good experience!
Listens attentively to concerns
Dr.Boyce is nice, easy to talk to, he listens to my concerns and is straight forward.Thank you for making my experiences pleasant with Gashland Clinic.
Dr Boyce and his team were able to get me in quick and he and Robin were great. Gashland Clinic is one of the best in the area. Thank you all for your help!
Dr Boyce does a great job. He is quick to diagnose issues and shows concern for his patients. If someone needs a competent knowledgeable doctor, Dr Boyce is a great choice.
Dr Boyce and his staff are very professional. Explained things very well and listens to all your concerns and questions.
Dr Boyce and his staff here are friendly and seem like they truly care!
Very efficient
Very attentive and personal. Had my records at hand and prescribed just what I needed from the wellness check.
The staff was incredible and efficient! As uncomfortable as a trip to the Dr's office can be sometimes. I would recommend the expertise and warm manor of Dr. Daniel Boyce and the entire supporting staff.
Brought my son to see Dr. Boyce for GI issues. I was impressed with how thorough he was given the fact that my son has already been tested for these issues repeatedly with no answers or diagnosis. He really listened and gave us a some new measures to check with.
Dr Boyce was in a hurry. He was not the slightest bit concerned about my issues and was focused more on judging me instead of being a good doctor. I do not recommend this doctor.
Very insightful & friendly
I wish no stars was an option... Dr. Boyce is not just lacking bedside manner, his arrogance borders on negligence. After already having one negative experience I gave him a 2nd chance. I came in with a flare up of a long term chronic condition. I provided my history and needed care to him, even offered for him to contact my prior doctor to confirm. He insisted I was over reacting and did not provide the requested care. Thanks to him I ended up in the emergency room 12 hours after seeing him.He should have to pay my $200 co-pay. I will not be going back.
DR.Boyce is all about making money, not taking care of his patients.
Always take time to listen and ask questions.
Very thorough and he listened well to my concerns.
Rude
Dr. Boyce did an excellent job! He was very nice, professional, and got me the right meds to make me feel better! The appointment was on time as well! A+++
It was hard to get in to see him. When I got there he almost seemed annoyed and was a little distant throughout the whole appointment. He only discussed the concerns I had written down before seeing him. Didn't see if I had any questions and just ended the appointment. He was not rude by any means but there could have been a little bit better of a connection had he asked questions or let me ask questions. A little frustrating when you only get one free check up a year.
Dr. Boyce answers all of my questions. He is patient and fast when it comes to communication.
I came to Dr. Boyce as a new patient after a referral from my gallbladder surgery at NKC hospital. I had high hopes because my care at NKC was top-notch. Unfortunately, I left my appointment with Dr. Boyce feeling very upset by the "care" I got from him, if you can even call it that. My appointment lasted all of 5 minutes. As a new patient, I would have expected him to at least try and get to know me a little, but he didn't even make eye contact with me a single time. When I was telling Dr. Boyce about my history he was very cold and made me feel judged and uncomfortable, giving only "mhm" as a response to what I was attempting to tell him. If you want to feel like a number in his quota, then visit him - but I will not be seeing him again. Very disappointed.
Dr. Boyce was kind, easy to talk to, he listens and straight forward. Thank you for making the experience fast and pleasant.
Very pleased with the care I recieved. Lisened closely and followed thru professionally.
He is very personable. I liked him right off.
Dr. Boyce admitted me to the hospital for my visit the other day , which was needed cause I was not getting better. He has been the only PCP I've had to actually care about the patient and put all my trust in his health care advice. Thank you for caring about your patients
Dr. Boyce and his team was amazing. I couldn't get into see my primary and his team did a wonderful job listening to me and helping me. Highly recommend
Dr. Boyce is not my regular Doctor. I was given a choice between him and a late afternoon appt with my own Doctor Having hindsight I wish I would’ve seen my own, just because he may have been able to help more. As it was, I did read reviews awhile back on Dr. Boyce And they weren’t kind. It seems later reviews showed improvement. Dr. Boyce is very much a “let’s get down to business” person. He does not show much emotion. He sat down and asked all the right questions and then gave his answer. For patients that are more personable, this may come off as abruptness. Unfortunately he could not really do much for me due to my circumstances, I needed to head over to the ER that day. That wasn’t this man’s fault either. I just think Dr. Boyce could be a bit looser with people and it won’t seem as though he is being unfriendly. If I had to, I would be okay with seeing him again
Dr Boyce took his time to listen to all of my symptoms and talked to me on a personal level to make me feel comfortable.
Dr Boyce one of the best Doctors I’ve seen always listening at my needs and no matter what my problem he has always fixed me 100% .If he left Meritas Health I would follow him wherever he practices. Sincerely Greg Guffey
Professional and personable
Always quick and concise. Love how direct he is.
Dr. Boyce was the best dr that I have seen in a long time, very informative and very caring , I would highly recommend
Dr. Boyce was very concise and thorough! We even shared a few laughs! Deborah Joslin
Dr Boyce was very responsive and helpful in getting my concerns addressed and getting me back to normal life
Dr Boyce is a knowledgeable, informative Dr. He took time to listen and address my issues. Would recommend him to anyone!
Thank you Dr Boyce for listening to my laundry list of issues and still addressing each one. I appreciate you.
Just left Dr Boyce’s office. Had a diagnosis on kidneys I was concerned about. He told me I was more concerned than he is. However, to relieve my mind, he scheduled further blood work, urine test, ultrasound and appt with specialist. I’ve been very happy with Dr Boyce’s attention to my questions and has always responded in ways to alleviate concern. He kinda cracks me up because he’s a bit of nervous type bouncing his leg all the time. My hubby does that and Ive always been type A firing on all cylinders too! 😀
Great experience - just moved to KC from out of state and had to have unexpected surgeries and needed quick follow-up; he was able to accommodate.
Dr Boyce sees myself and my two younger children. He’s been very helpful and knowledgeable about the many things that we bring to his office. I don’t like to beat around the bush and I don’t get that with him. Our waits are short and our exam and treatment plans are to the point. I trust him completely with the health of myself and my children. Our portal messages are replied to promptly even during non-clinic hours. We appreciate him more than he knows! :)
Posting for patient Marvin Hart. We had a good blood draw report and Dr. Boyce is referring Marvin to a neurologist.
I trust the care and entire staff at Meritas and my visit with Doctor Boyce was pleasant and he was very caring and helpful. I wouldn’t go to any other clinic. The receptionists, nurses, Lab tech’s are the best and my normal primary care physician Dr Fawcett is the best Doctor I’ve ever had ! She takes extra steps to help me with my many health issues she is a excellent Doctor and even walked me to the front lobby to my waiting ride when I came in very sick to insure I made it safely. I truly appreciate Meritas .. thank you Cara Walker
Very knowledgeable and thorough
Dr. Boyce is an amazing doctor. I get quick responses from nursing staff, he’s easy to get into when I need an appointment. His nurses are the best; they’re so sweet and kind, especially the one that calls me on the phone! Thanks for all you do !
Dr Boyce was very nice. If you are looking for a Dr I would definitely recommend him.
First visit was okay. I didn’t get that family/home feeling you want when you see someone who is helping you with your healthcare but I decided to give him another chance..regret that. I was a few (3-5) minutes late to my appointment, which I apologized for, but if it’s that big of a deal I’d rather be rescheduled than treated like you don’t care.
Dr. was on time; he LISTENED to my concerns, looking at me (instead of just typing). He is not my normal doctor but carefully got my history as well as recent ER visit notes. He got appropriate lab and prescribed necessary Rx. I can highly recommend him.
Great Doctor and Thorough
Dr Boyce is caring and attentive. I gave him a full list of issues and he helped with some and further evaluated the others. I recommend him highly!!
Dr. Boyce took time to ask additional questions to decide further action related to my symptoms. I appreciated his caring demeanor and thoughtfulness in determining next steps.
Uncaring! Never looked up from computer. Never made eye contact. Felt like he didn't care and just wanted out of room. This was 2nd time to see him, both times felt this way. Would not recommend and will be looking for a new PCP.
I thought Dr. Boyce did a great job. He’s listen to me and gave me some good advice.
I wasn’t feeling well prior to Christmas and had gone out of town, but returned feeling worse. I called the tele doctor with my insurance and took the meds for 5 days that were prescribed. Needless to say, the meds did not work. Called to get into my doctor at Gashland, but only Urgent care was open the day after New Years. Therefore, I was able to see Dr. Boyce, which I’ve seen before which was nice. He listened to me, and then looked at my throat, ears, nose, and listened to my chest. He was able to prescribe medication and within 5 hours it was a game changer! My life could function normally now. My throat and ears were in so much pain, I needed something much stronger to fight the infection. Thank you for your professionalism and doctor’s advice. Here’s to 2023!
I am incredibly thankful for Dr. Boyce. When I came to his office with chest pain, he immediately ordered a series of tests to make sure I was alright, including a blood work, EKG, chest x-ray, CT scan, and stress test. His swift and thorough action has made me feel secure in my health, and I cannot express how grateful I am for his care.
Felt extremely rushed. Didn’t seem like he really wanted to know more about what I’m going through.
Excellent in always
Dr Boyce is thorough in accessing the issue, taking time to hear what you have to say, then providing a plan to begin recovery. Highly recommend.
Very straight to the point doctor. Good with getting your medical needs handled.
Dr. Boyce always takes the time to listen to me.
Very detailed an addressed all of my concerns. Would definitely recommend him
Dr. Boyce seemed slightly distracted. Something wasn't the norm.
Excellent as always.
He’s the best!
I'm always impressed with how down to earth and knowledgeable Dr. Boyce is. He is by far the best doctor I have ever had.
It went very well. I don't give top review scores because I was raised, and have also learned in my 50 years, that no matter how good you think that you are doing, there is always room for improvement.
Dr. Boyce is very kind and knowledgeable. He explained thing's to me throughput my appointment and helped me feel at ease. I appreciate his bedside manner and thoroughness.
My second contact with Dr Boyce in urgent care was exactly the opposite of my first visit. I was treated with respect, was listened to and my problem completely addressed! I am amending my previous review. And am happy to do so. Kathleen Corn
Wonderful experience as a first visit with Dr. Boyce. at urgent care. Dr. Boyce was very friendly and helpful, knowledgable, examined me ,asked about my medical history, check my Covid Test result, and really took his time to explain my conditions with me. He was willing to hear me out and answered my questions. Thank you Dr. Boyce!
I saw Dr. Boyce for an urgent care visit and he was very helpful. I was a little bit anxious about my appointment because I’ve had bad experiences with unfamiliar doctors in the past, but he was very warm and friendly, professional, and thorough in explaining issues to me. I didn’t feel rushed and felt like I had time to ask questions if needed.
Dr Boyce saw me as an urgent care patient. He took his time talking with me. Wait time was minimal. He was professional and caring - a perfect combination. Happy I was able to see him. Thank you!!
Dr. Boyce sees me and three other members of my family. I appreciate his expediency for small matters, and I know he is willing to talk in greater detail when we have a larger issue. I have been very pleased with his work.
Dr Boyce is gentle in his approach and also very understanding. We tried a few different medications , and some worked better than others. I never felt ashamed or embarrassed to tell him when I fell off the wagon , and he was very understanding and encouraging to get me back on the wagon. I like that he's fast in his appointments , and that I'm not sitting at the Doctors office all day! I appreciate him very much.
My primary care physician retired and after some research we found Dr Boyce. My visit with him was very helpful and I did not feel rushed. He immediately started a plan of action and I feel like I was listened to. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I think Dr Boyce will be a good fit for both my wife and I.
I was there for the first time after moving to the area. The clinic said he would be a great doctor so I went with it. When I went for the visit he came into the room after me waiting for about 20 minutes in the small room for him. He asked a few questions, told me about my weight and the unhealthy habits that I already knew about, and then left. He did not seem warm and welcoming at all. I felt like he did not care and only came to point out my flaws. Needless to say, I will not be going back.
Dr. Boyce was professional, friendly, and he took the time to understand why I was there. I didn't feel rushed, and he helped me with my healing. I would highly recommend him.
I saw Dr. Boyce at the Gashland Urgent Care Clinic on a Sunday. I have not seen Dr. Boyce before but I found him to be attentive, thorough and I did not feel like he was rushing through my appointment. He did a good job explaining the treatment plan and within a few days I was feeling much better. I am so glad to have clinicians like Dr. Boyce available when I need them. Highly recommended!
I have been to this clinic several times over the years, and I have never had the best experience. I had been really sick with a cold for 3 weeks- I didn't go to the doctor originally for various reasons. (Dr. Boyce is not the doctor I see here, but he saw me this day and I am so glad he did.) I happen to also have a mass on my shoulder my family wanted me to get checked out. Even though I am still battling a cold that won't give up, he was able to help me then. And the lipoma is being removed by the general surgeon next month. Good Job Doctor! 10/10 would recommend
I saw Dr Boyce through Urgent Care and I was really happy with the time he took to explain my injury to me and what the next steps were to find out what was going on. I would highly recommend his services.
yes this Doctor is extremely smart and right on his diagnosis .he is careful of all the facts to come to the right decision.
Dr. Boyce is fantastic! He took the quality time to answer questions and did a thorough job of of looking into my health concerns. I was extremely pleased that he took the time and attention to dive into my concerns.
I have seen Dr. Boyce a couple different times. Both have been short notice and he was able to get me in. He is quick going through the basic questions but if you are concerned about anything he does take the time to listen and makes an effort to find out what could be going on. He’s great at explaining or giving directions to his patients and seems to truly care about how you’re feeling physically and mentally. I definitely appreciate his efficiency and thoroughness. If you need a new primary care physician then he’s a great one.
I appreciated Dr Boyce so much because he fitted me in when he already had a busy schedule.. He took care of me when I fractured my arm and was very efficient and kind to me. He read xrays and thoroughly explained what I had done to me. I would recommend him to anyone who breaks or hurts themselves by falling. Thank you so much Dr Boyce.
This is old news now but I never got the chance to tell about how Dr. Boyce helped me. I had struggled with stomach/chest pain intermittently for years. It was at my first ever appointment with Dr. Boyce that the process of changing that began. He felt the need to dig further than just what I was able to remember from what other doctors had told me in the past. Thanks to Dr. Boyce being determined to get to the bottom of it, we learned that I needed to have my gallbladder removed. It was a long process, with imaging studies needing to be done, a colonoscopy, and finally the surgery. None of that would have happened if not for Dr. Boyce. He refered me to all the places I needed to go and he refered me to the surgeon that removed my gallbladder. Before then, I had given up. My wife scheduled the appointment and insisted I go see Dr. Boyce. I'm so thankful she did. I haven't had that pain once since having my surgery. Thank you Dr. Boyce for your diligence.
Very thorough. Willing to listen and figure out the best option for y PO u as the patient.
He caught why I wasn't hearing and clear it up and now I hear how a person should out of my ears.
Very helpful and knoledgeable.
Very helpful and personable
Efficient
Boyce was right on time but blew into the room and never once introduced himself. I have never seen this man and he never bothered to introduce himself or take my name; no 'Hi' or 'Good morning' or anything. He did not seem very concerned at all about the situation and seemed more annoyed than anything. If I hadn't asked a few questions on my own, I think he would have said less than 10 words and left the office. He seemed annoyed that I was asking him questions about my situation and that he didn't have the time or patience to answer them as if my medical situation was a burden to his day. I have been going to Gashland for over 30 years and was a long time Kannee patient where bedside manner and actually caring about your patient was important. It appears Boyce has neither of those in his repertoire. I am looking for a new PCP and will NOT be using him nor will I be visiting him again on my follow-up to today's appointment. I would not recommend him to anyone for anything.
In for a yearly physical. Visit was very efficient. He answered all of my questions, at least the ones I had for him. He explained the process that I would do this morning and continued to ask if I had any questions. The nurses are always amazing when I come into the office, very friendly, etc.
Saw my son today and did a thorough exam, he had great bedside manner and answered all of my questions. My whole family has seen him at some point or another and we love him! Quick, efficient visits and excellent availability of appointments when you need.
Dr. Boyce listens. Knows about his patients and genuinely cares.
Dr Boyce is quick, yet thorough. He is very pleasant and listens to any issues you have and gives solutions that make sense. Always takes the time needed and doesn’t make you feel rushed.
Highly recommended!
Dr Boyce is smart and always thinking. Within minutes of listening and looking, he knew I was in critical condition and needed emergency care. Thanks for being there for your people Doctor, you are appreciated.
Dr. Boyce diagnosis & makes good decisions based on his findings. I would highly recommend Dr. Boyce due to his thoroughness & his quality of care. A great team all around!
Dr. Boyce was quick and efficient with my appointment. He took time to talk with me and answer all my questions.
Did great, he ask the questions to see if there was any problems and would recommend him to anyone .
I've been going to Dr. Boyce for over a year now and he has always been knowledgable abd professional. He spends the time listening to my concerns and questions. He goes above and beyond to find a solution for the health problems I may have. He is also very direct and honest, which I like in a doctor. I would recommend him to anyone I know who needs a primary care physician.
Dr Boyce has done quality care for me. Recommending tests that I should probably be doing at my age. He is direct and to the point with me which I appreciate.
Dr Boyce is always professional and very knowledgeable. I appreciate his professionalism.
It was a last minute appointment. He is very friendly and easy to talk with. I was very impressed with the visit. Excellent listener!
Dr. Boyce was personable and efficient. He is not my primary care doc, but she was out of the office. He made sure to ask about all my symptoms and asked me if there was anything else he could do for me or any questions he could answer. I did notice several negative reviews on this site, but maybe he is using those constructively to change his behavior/demeanor. I would not have a problem seeing him again if my regular doctor is not available. He is my husband's primary doctor, and my husband really likes him.
Very friendly and knowledgeable.
Just saw him, did a great exam, suggestions and options were provided, always a good visit with him.
Dr. Boyce is my favorite and it’s not even close. He’s matter of fact and still has plenty of bedside manner. He’s empathetic, personable and I feel like he has my best interest at heart. He’s also very thorough and precise, I would highly suggest Dr. Boyce for any and all of your health needs.
Dr. Boyce has been my physician now for almost two years. As someone that does not like to waste time. I am pleasantly satisfied with Dr. Boyce and his staff. Every appointment I have had, he has been on time and gets to the point of my visit. I have had a couple of visits with a couple of concerns and Dr Boyce gets me checked out and/or points me towards the correct Dr to further evaluate the situation. Each time making sure my health is okay or getting me to expert on the subject matter. You can never be too cautious and the fact Dr Boyce gives his opinion and offers a referral to an expert means the world to me.
I saw Dr. Boyce today for a physical. He spent a great deal of time going over all of my medications and also answered all of my questions. I felt appreciated and heard. He is very patient and did not rush my visit.
My entire family of 7 started seeing Dr. Boyce 2 years ago. We've always been able to make appointments quickly and easily. I feel like he's on top of things, and been happy with the communication.
Terrific service. Gave me multiple tests on site, communicated results and what they meant. Also timely follow up on additional testing.
Dr. Boyce is very professional and takes the time to answer any questions that you have. I never feel rushed when I see him and he referred me to the appropriate specialist.
Came in to treat a cold/flu that's lasted longer than it should and since all the otc meds aren't working for me. The only good thing about this visit is fast check in and the nurse before the doc came. She was an angel, actually listens to my concern but not this doctor. Seems like he wanted to leave before he even got in the room. Any concerns I had he just didn't seem to care. Ask what medicine I want like excuse me you're the doctor what do I need to feel better. If could I would of given him a 0. He was totally unprofessional. Seems like he didn't want to do his job and they just wanted the insurance money at this point.
I am very happy having Dr Boyce for my doctor. He convinced me after many people have tried but failed to start taking insulin shots. I believe he saved my life. I did not realize how sick I was until I started on the insulin. Everyone in the office is very caring and professional. He explains things so I understand what is going on. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a doctor.
Did not provide full physical. Was not concerned about my questions.
I should’ve known from reading all the negative reviews, but my regular doctor couldn’t get me in, and I was desperate. I literally just left my appointment, and yes, he is very dismissive, and quick to get in and out-literally 1 minute or less spent in the room with me. Advised me to go back to the ER because there was nothing that he could do. This seems to be a recurring pattern with him I’m noticing.
Very disappointing. No bedside manner whatsoever. Acted like I was a bother. Referred me on to a specialist and I asked for a specialist name and he said that there are 50 of them in KC and they are all good. What has a happened to the doctors clinic that Kuenzi, Hayes, Wilson, Kanne, Luerding and others made so respected. No longer exists.
Sent my husband in to get looked at, previous dr just walked in and out so we thought we’d find someone else.SAME THING. My husband left feeling like he didn’t get any answers and like he was even heard. This is sad. So another pointless appointment just so they can collect from insurance for NOTHING. If you’re going to be in the medical field, Atleast listen to what your patients have to say to better understand what the heck is going on.
I went in regarding something very personal. I had no understanding of said condition and was wanting to hear what the doctor had to say. I left with no better idea as to how going about my condition but it was clear he wanted to move on. He basically asked me what pill I wanted to take and prescribed it. When he did start talking more, it was to push a tetanus shot. I did not come in there for that and I had another year before I needed one. He persisted after I asked if insurance would cover it. He said they would. They didn't. I felt extremely uncomfortable around him and could tell he didn't want to deal with me anymore. I felt like I had to rush despite being concerned for my own health. I hated the experience and am in the process of moving to a different hospital entirely.
Dr. Boyce really deserves a million stars! It took me years but I'm so glad I found "my person" in a doctor! My daughter and husband see him now too, and we super trust him with our medical needs. The whole staff is great every single time I have to speak with or see them. I would say just about every single time I've called and had to make an appointment I could get in same day. Dr. Boyce is funny, friendly, never rushes me and even talks to me like a regular and normal human! It's always great to see him and the staff. Keep doing what you're doing, you all are ROCKSTARS!!!
Woundfull very caring Dr who i gave 5 stars to
Straight shooter - Smart and not afraid to diagnose and treat properly. I had a cough for 5 weeks and saw three doctors. He was the only one that would prescribe me a strong antibiotic and a steroid to get rid of it. I started feeling better the next day. What is the fear of antibiotics these days? They work, and they prevent the on-going spread of the flu. thank you Dr. Boyce.
This was my first time seeing Dr. Boyce and it was a follow up after seeing another Dr. at Gashland Clinic. He treated me as a bother, after telling him I had been feeling a “burning in my right side of my chest” he said everything sounded clear and good but told me to go to the ER. He couldn’t do bloodwork or a radiograph there/they would do more at an ER. Apparently, he just didn’t want to deal with me because bloodwork and a radiograph is exactly what they did at the ER. So I’m going to pay triple for what he could have done in house. As I was leaving he said people my age don’t typically have heart issues but they do have pulmonary embolism and he hoped everything turned out well for me. It felt very dismissive. No I will never recommend this doctor nor will I go back to see him. If I could give zero stars I would.
I saw Dr. Boyce initially in urgent care and found him to be extremely thorough and patient. I liked the fact that he listened to me, asked good questions and steered me away from “self diagnosing.” I scheduled another appointment with him as a follow-up and continued to be impressed.
It was a good experience. He took the time to answer all questions I had. I would recommend him.
I saw Dr. Boyce twice in one week. Once for myself and once for my step daughter—both times in an Urgent Care setting, as Dr. Boyce is not our primary care physician. Both visits were unpleasant. At my step daughter's appointment for a strep test, he found a heart murmur but did very little to help us understand the implications of the diagnosis, and we left with more questions than answers. At my appointment after a car accident, he didn't ask many questions or seem to be listening to my responses. Prescribed me medicine he didn't explain and was generally unhelpful. At both visits, I found him to be condescending and unfriendly. He was rushed both times, barely spending any time in the room discussing symptoms, outcomes, what to expect, etc. I'm shocked someone with such a terrible bedside manner is allowed to practice medicine on living, breathing humans. I will be sure to request anyone BUT Dr. Boyce next time I need to visit Urgent Care.
First time visit was treated rudely as though was a bother. Never asked any questions so wont nbe back Could not recimmend.
Polite thorough and very informative.
I saw Dr. Boyce today. He was very attentive to my needs and showed true compassion. He took his time, listened, and made me feel very much at ease. I would highly recommend him.
He is rude, condescending and won’t listen to all the facts. My husband was diagnosed with diverticulitis after going to the ER at north Kansas City hospital and having a CT scan done with oral contrast. The CT scan visibly showed inflammation. My husband followed up with this man and he proceeded to tell him that nothing was wrong with him and that he was basically faking it. Mind you, my husband had been on antibiotics for a few days, so the inflammation and pain had started to subside but was still experiencing nausea and a little discomfort. He wouldn’t even prescribe him with anti-nausea. Never returning back to this doctor AGAIN.
I came in to address my concern with depression, anxiety, brain fog, fatigue, etc. I asked if we could test my hormone levels since I was on depo provera for over three years. He very rudely stated "he doesnt just test blood for nothing" and that he wouldnt be testing my hormone levels. He needs to do more research on this drug before denying a patient the help shes been seeking for over a year. I decided to go to midwest medical center to get my hormone levels checked and just as I suspected, they were low, and now I'm needing hormone replacement therapy. I will not be back ever to see this disgusting doctor, who could care less about his patients.
He was very rude and short with me. Made it clear he only had a limited time to talk to me and could not answer any questions other than the reason I made the appointment. He made me feel like an inconvenience in his day. Immediately turned me over to office manager. Very bad at patient-doctor relationship. I left his office in tears. Worst experienceI I have had with a doctor.
Was able to get same day appointment, quickly seen upon arrival. Dr. Boyce is very thorough with questions about my concern, with my medical history and with explanations of procedures and tests, and how to move forward. Focus is on patient getting better.
Dr Boyce is very professional and has a good personality. I would reccomend him highly.
I thought Dr Boyce was very knowledgeable and personable. He's a great listener
The appointment with this rude individual was the most frustrating one that I have had in the 24 years as a patient at Gashland Clinic. It was obvious that we were an inconvenience and bothering him for the 5 minutes that he spent with us. He cut me off while speaking to him and was dismissive with my concerns. I am grateful that I have never been seen by him before and I will make sure that no one in my family does again. I would suggest getting rid of this doctor from your clinic or you will lose many of your loyal, long-term patients.
He listened to me and got my medication that fixed my respiratory issue.
I saw Dr Boyce on May 5,2019 in urgent care. I have been having trouble with my back and severe pain was going down my arm. It was frightening. I was to leave on a trip the next morning. He pinpointed the problem right away and managed to help me survive my flights and trip. I have decided to switch to him on a full time bases. He listens and gets to the root quickly!
This was my first visit with Dr. Boyce. I was very happy overall. He has a great bedside manner and gave a thorough explanation of my problem. I had an adverse reaction to one of the meds prescribed. He immediately called out a different one. His nurses were very helpful also. I would recommend.
Dr. Boyce gave me a thorough visit. I had hardly any wait time and a doctor that is easy to talk to.
Would like to give him 10 stars
I am looking for physician to fill Dr. Kanne's shoes since his retirement. That is going to be tough! I chose to see Dr. Boyce for my annual check-up/physical. He seemed kind and caring at our first meeting. I will return to him for any future needs at this point.
I didn’t care much for his bedside manner. The questions I had about the cause of my condition wasn’t answered. Haven’t been to a doctor in over 3 years and choosing him as a replacement for Dr Kanne was not the best choice. Have to go back as my symptoms are worse so will try someone else this time.
Dr. Boyce listened to all my symptoms and followed up with questions I hadn’t thought of to diagnose me. He didn’t dismiss my questions and took the time to make sure i understood everything. He prescribed the right medicine that took care of my issue. I’ll definitely visit Dr. Boyce again.
Excellent, caring physician. I’m looking forward to his care over the next few years!
I saw Dr. Boyce on Monday 4/29/19 and he was fantastic. I had a sinus infection and he has cured it all up. My wife and I were very impressed. Thanks Dr. Boyce. 5 stars!
He was wonderful, kind and caring. Listened and asked the right questions. He showed concern and took immediate action. A wonderful doctor.
Took the time to listen to my healthcare needs. Very kind and caring!
Listened to my concerns and treated me accordingly. Very professional and kind.
I go to Meritas Gashland Clinic regularly. I couldn’t see my primary doctor so I saw Dr. Boyce. He gave me a diagnosis and medicine. Within 24 hours I was no longer in pain. Five days later for my follow up I was feeling 100 percent. I liked his bedside manner and I felt like he cared about my well being. I would recommend him to anyone. I’ve always been happy with the doctors at Gashland.
Allways great takes care of the problems I come in for very helping an caring love that about him been seeing him for about 2 years now very great doctor an job he does
Rude, dismissive, odd, awkward, zero empathy or even imagination. Misused medical terminology.
One other reviewer said "dismissive", and I was worried about this when I scheduled. Turned out to be true. Totally dismissive, even supercilious. He didn't even try to disguise his indifference to my situation.
Great doctor, very thorough. Personable and easy to communicate with.
Dr Boyce was professional, thorough, & had good bed side manners. He was funny & showed true compassion. I would recommend Dr Boyce & his staff.
Iv seen this guy 2x in 2 weeks, i try to explain why i dont feel good and he hardly listens, he rushs you to talk so you can get in and out he writes a medicine you tell him doesn't work for you, then when you ask what can i take or do to feel better and he hardly had a comment, My questions were not answered at all i dont know what to do or take to feel better going on 3 weeks now of a sinus infection as he keeps calling it which i had to ask the diagnosis.
Saw Dr Boyce for the 1st time. He was great. Listen to my concerns and solved my issue.
Very dismissive and acted like I was wasting his time. Never again.
Dr. Boyce treated me well. He spent the time necessary to explain my care and actually made me feel that he cared about my health. The entire experience made me feel better about my diagnosis and treatment plan. He knew what he was talking about, was compassionate, and did a great job.
I've been a long time patient of Dr. Boyce. He hoped that working in Warsaw would give him more time w/ his patients than being up in Kansas City. Being one of the only doctors at the clinic he now has to herd the patients like cattle & he finds it frustrating. The computers are handy when it comes to charting, but he'd rather have eye contact with his patient than his PC monitor. He's a deeply knowledgeable doctor and has a great (but dry) sense of humor. He listens. I trust him with my life!
