The health system appointed new medical staff president Collin Lovitt, DO. She started her one-year term on July 1, serving as the liaison between the hospital system’s medical staff and administration. Dr. Lovitt also chairs the NKCH Medical Executive Committee.

“Working with the medical staff and hospital leadership has prepared me well for this opportunity,” Dr. Lovitt said. “The health system’s physicians and hospital administration have built a relationship that is rare in our industry. I look forward to strengthening that connection because it is vital to the patient experience.”

A hospitalist with Meritas Health Hospitalists, Dr. Lovitt earned her medical degree from Touro University. She completed her residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Dr. Lovitt is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Medical Association and American College of Physicians. She succeeds Keenan Berghoff, MD, medical director of bariatric surgery, a bariatric surgeon with the Total Weight Loss Center and a surgeon with Meritas Health Comprehensive Surgery.
