Thanks to generous community support, the Emergency Department has acquired a second CT scanner. This state-of-the-art technology means a shorter wait time for scans and improved images. The scanner was installed at a ribbon-cutting ceremony in June, the culmination of a year-long fundraising effort that gathered more than $2 million from 240 donors. David and Jamie Cummings cut the ribbon as they supported the fundraising effort with a $1.1 million lead gift. This new equipment has a wider opening and a higher weight limit to accommodate larger patients. It also provides more advanced technology for specialized cardiac scans.
